14 of our Year 12 students took an inspiration trip to  visited Queens’ College, Cambridge to find out more about applying to university and specifically to the University of Cambridge.

In the words of one of our students, “Visiting Queens’ College was a worthwhile experience to learn about what makes Oxbridge different to other universities, the teaching style and the life of a Cambridge student. We took part in various engaging activities, for example having a tour of Queens’ College, learning about the application process, and a personal statement workshop. We learnt about what makes a good personal statement and what to avoid when writing them. Overall, visiting Queens’ College was a very fulfilling experience; learning about the truths and myths about applying to Cambridge and being a student at the Collegiate University.”

The students also enjoyed lunch in the dining hall, a trip to the Sedgwick Museum and short walk through Cambridge stopping to see Downing and King’s Colleges.
