Media Studies students from Years 12 and 13 spent an action-packed day at Sky Studios for a hands-on media experience.
"A week prior, we completed storyboards to plan movie ideas for our activities at Sky Studios. We got the chance to bring these storyboards to life in state-of-the-art studios where we created 90 second trailers for our own made-up movies, using a green screen to place ourselves anywhere. We were allocated different roles and corresponding lanyards, such as actors, cinematographers, directors and editors. We chose props and outfits then filmed and edited our trailers before heading to the Sky Sports live studio to watch the presenters and staff working on live sports coverage.
The trip was extremely supportive of the Media Studies curriculum and even inspired some of us to pursue career opportunities in the media, perhaps at Sky!"
